Engenho Novo da Madeira is a young company focused on transforming sugarcane into Agricultural Rum under the William Hinton brand.
It was created in 2006 by one of the heirs of the Hinton family, who owned the largest sugarcane processing plant in Europe at the time – Fábrica do Torreão – from which he inherited the centenary column still, from which he still extracts rum. . Under the leadership of this new generation of entrepreneurs, the historical legacy of the Hinton brand was reborn and Madeira Rum is today its main bet.
Based on a policy of valuing the product and its roots, Rum William Hinton is today an unavoidable reference, with products in more than twenty international markets. Experience, authenticity, innovation and communication transparency are some of the values ​​that govern the way of being of the William Hinton brand. In 2018, he received the “Portuguese Product of the Year” award at the most prestigious spirits fair in Portugal, the Lisbon Bar Show.
